What is the surgery?


This is a unique procedure performed for patients with aortic root aneurysms. The aortic root includes the aortic valve apparatus and any surgical procedures can affect its function. With a Valve Sparing root procedure, the aortic root aneurysm is removed and the native aortic valve is repaired.


When is it indicated?

This procedure is indicated for patients without the aortic root pathology within normal function aortic valve, or a leaky aortic valve. Valve calcifications or perforations are usually contraindicated for this procedure.
